If you see this message when clicking on a link on or site, then your browser is not sending 'referer' strings. This may be a setting in your browser, or some security software that you are running.
For example, in Firefox there is a setting 'network.http.sendRefererHeader' which should be set to '2' but when set to '0' will prevent the referer from being sent. To check or change this setting, enter 'about:config' in the address bar, and locate the setting in the list. Hint: type 'referer' into the filter. If the value is not '2', double-click on the entry, and put '2' into the popup box, and press 'Okay'
