RIB Cruising
Cruise 1 - Whitstable to London
Launching from Queenborough and cruising to the heart of London for lunch. No experience required. Suitable for all abilities. Minimum age 16. Own boats welcome by prior arrangement. Cost includes all harbour dues and fuel.
Cruise 2 - Dover to Boulogne
Navigating a fast open boat across the Dover Straits to Boulogne-Sur-Mer for a day trip is a demanding passage for anyone. Learn how to plan and execute a foreign cruise across the busiest seaway in the world, then take lunch in one of the main restaurants in the town.
Candidates should hold a minimum of RYA Powerboat Level 2 with at least 1 years experience. You must have a valid UK passport (other nationalities by prior arrangement), a valid EHIC health card or equivalent, be in good health, can swim 50m in clothing, aged 18+ and can attend the passage planning evening on 4th June 19:30. Safety equipment will be provided. Own boats by prior arrangement. Departing Dover around 9:00 and returning around 18:00.

Outboard Maintenance Course - Whitstable
Opportunity to gain a better understanding of how outboard engines work. Some may even wish to get their hands dirty at this Whitstable event. Open to all leaders and members over 13 years of age.

Go Powerboating - Whitstable
Ideal for Scouts or Explorers to experience powerboating during a 1½ hr introductory session at Whitstable. Under the close supervision of an instructor participants will have the opportunity to drive and crew a powerboat.

Powerboat Permit Assessment - Whitstable
Various water activity assessment opportunities have been provided during the year as part of the introduction of the Adventurous Activity Permit scheme. During this event members will be able to demonstrate their skills and aptitude to taking scouts afloat. (see factsheet FS 120100). Alternative dates can be agreed directly with the appropriate assessor if required.

Powerboat Night Navigation Practice - Whitstable
A chance to learn how to navigate a high speed craft at night. Candidates must hold RYA Powerboat level 2, have logged a minimum of 20 hours and be able to plot a Lat Long position on a chart. Sessions are both classroom and practical afloat.
