Offshore Sailing - Permit Holders
The Offshore Sailing Permit refers to the type of boats used, not the type of waters sailed on. Offshore Sailing boats are displacement yachts and usually include built in accommodation. They are powered primarily by sail.
An Offshore Sailing permit is required for all offshore sailing taking place in any class of water. There is only one type of permit available for offshore sailing; Leadership.
Leadership Permit, allows the permit holder to lead offshore sailing for a single boat.
- You can only look after one boat at a time.
- You will need to remain onboard the boat whenever it is being used.
The Tick below indicates the level of permit granted, to either Lead or Supervise, for further clarification ask the Permit Holder, the Responsible Commissioner or the Permit Registrar. A current First Aid qualification to be held by the named instructor or by another person on the activity.
