Inclusion

Scouts is an inclusive, values-based movement and membership is open to all those who share our fundamental values.

The Kent Scouts Inclusion Team are here to support you and have a wide range of expertise in all areas of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.

Our Aims

Get Help In Your District

Our District Inclusion Support Team is your first point of call for information and support on all aspects of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. The team are the ‘go-to" people for any individual support or advice that is needed, they can signpost members to where information can be found and can facilitate training at a group or district level. Mental Health

Scouting can play an important role in supporting mental health and well-being. Across the county, mental health is at the forefront of many volunteers' minds, especially given the trauma every young person and volunteer has gone through during covid. Our team are here to help to support volunteers and young people across the county to understand all aspects of mental health and give guidance for supporting development of good mental health and wellbeing in our members.

Additional Needs

Our team is here to advocate for people with additional needs and ensure they have the correct support in place for them to fulfil their potential in Scouting. We provide information, support and training for leaders who are working with adults and young people with additional needs within Kent.
