Guide Dogs' mission is to help people with sight loss to enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else - our guides don’t always have four legs and a tail.

The My Guide service trains volunteers to be sighted guides and matches them with people who are visually impaired and need support to get out and about.

Scouts can increase their awareness of the impact of sight loss and gain skills and confidence to offer help in their own community or, in future, volunteer as guides.

The Royal British Legion is known for being the custodian of remembrance and fundraising through its poppy appeal in November each year. Over £1million is raised in Kent alone as collectors appear all over the county to assist with our biggest fundraising drive. Every penny raised will go towards the Legion’s welfare work with Service people young and old and their families.

There are numerous other ideas for fundraising that enthusiastic individuals or groups can organise. Our Challenge Pack has ideas for you to explore.
