Scout Active Support allows people over the age of 18 years to give their time to Scouting in a flexible way that suits them. Adults can still be involved in Scouting without the full-time commitment of being a leader.
There is no requirement to have been involved in Scouting before joining. All that is required is a willingness to volunteer some time to support Scouting.
Our Activities team is made up of Scout Active Support Units (SASUs) who focus on specific activities.
We are always looking for people to help at events, please do contact Beccy to be added to the list.
See our new Twitter and Facebook accounts below. Do follow us and spread the word.
I’m Beccy Martin – one half of a double act with Bunty Ridgway!
We’ve worked alongside each other now for almost 20 years supporting Cub Scouting in the county, events and now the Scout Active Support. I have been involved in Scouting for over 40 years now and am really looking forward to this new challenge and getting to know you all. I’ve experience of organising large events, fundraising and recently was a Scout Association volunteer team member who helped to write the Centenary Cub Programme.
I work for Kent Scouts and am now providing support at Lower Grange Farm so you can catch me there most days!
If you have something going on in your District please let us know about it and we can spread the word!
Currently I am a member of two SAS’s – Medway and Lower Grange Farm where I co-ordinate a team of helpers, several of whom are members of various SAS’s in the County. We run Badge courses for Beavers, Cubs and Scouts. I am also involved in the Christmas Parties held each year for the Beavers and Cubs and the weekly work parties improving and maintaining facilities at the Centre.
I hope to meet you all very soon!
