Activity & Games Equipment
We own a Private Mobile Radio (PMR) set which can be used to provide communication support for County, District and Group events of any size. They are used each year at the Kent County Show, day events, group nights, fairs, car parking duties and many other events.
The radios can be used during wide games to add that extra element. You can see how they were used by the Maclean Troup. If you are an activity or event organiser or just need to ensure security at a camp or a remote activity how often have you wished that you could keep in touch with your staff - The County radios are your answer.
It is a low power system, which will give an effective operating range depending on the terrain. They are available for day, weekend or week longer use by arrangement.
Radios can be booked in advance and may be available at short notice (2 days - to allow for charging). Radios need to be collected and returned (by the following Tuesday) from the Technology Advisor who lives in Maidstone. Training on how to use them will be provided on collection.
The set contains:
- 13 x 2 Channel Radios with Leather cases, speaker microphones & ear pieces
- 1 x 6 way charger (separate chargers are available upon request)
Hire donation of at least £10 / event day with a Group/District deposit cheque of £100 both cheques should be made payable to 'Kent Scout Council' and be brought with you when the radios are being collected. Any damage or loss during the hire will be charged at the current price to replace the damaged goods with the exactly same specification.
Please contact us to book or if you have any questions.
There are a number of different promotional items that can be booked by Scout groups including sail flags and pull up banners.
Groups and Districts have used them for displays in shops, libraries, shopping centres, headquarters, AGM's etc. We also have a large archive of photographs, which may be used to enhance your own display.
The boards are easily erected and can transform any area into a bright, attractive advertisement for Scouting.
