During the summer of 2018 twenty Kent Explorer Scouts aged 16+, and Network Scouts aged 18-25, are visiting the Volta Region of Ghana West Africa.
The team of around 30 Explorers, Networkers & Leaders from Kent Scouts are busy fundraising for this project. They have all met up for a social event and have another one planned for later in the year. arrow_forward
At Kent Scouts we are putting together an exciting expedition for 40 of our members to charter and crew an Antarctic sailing vessel.
Almost one hundred years ago, back in 1921 the great explorer Ernest Shackleton selected two Scouts to join him on his final Quest expedition to Antarctica. arrow_forward
Beavers are usually aged between six and eight years old, though they can be as young as five and three quarters.
Cubs are young people aged between 8 and 10½, who make up the second section of the Scouting family.
Anyone ages between 14 and 18 can be an Explorer Scout. And there are plenty of different ways you can be involved in Scouting.
If you're aged between 18 and 25 years old and really want to get out into the world, have a great time whilst doing the some of things you love.
Kent Scout Activities Team will support you and show you how easy it is to get out there and have some fun.
The team is made up of Scout Active Support Units (SASUs) who focus on specific activities.kentscouts.org.uk/activities
An International Scout Active Support Unit (SASU) has been created to coordinate all international opportunities across Kent Scouts. Whether you are looking for ideas to run an evening programme or want to be part of a global challenge, we hope to give you the right pointers here.
We change lives by offering 6 to 25-year-olds fun and challenging activities, unique experiences, everyday adventure and the chance to help others so that we make a positive impact in communities.
Activities as diverse as kayaking, abseiling, expeditions overseas, photography, climbing and zorbing. Also can learn survival skills, first aid and much more.
There’s something for every young person. It’s a great way to have fun, make friends, get outdoors, express your creativity and experience the wider world.
This everyday adventure is possible thanks to our adult volunteers, who support us in a wide range of roles from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group, to being a charity Trustee.
We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.
There is no requirement to have been involved in Scouting before joining. All that is required is a willingness to volunteer some time to support Scouting.
