Beavers are usually aged between 6 and 8 years old, though they can be as young as five and three quarters. Make friends and try new indoor and outdoor activities.
Cubs are young people aged between 8 and 10½, who make up the second section of the Scouting family. Learn practical skills while having adventures with friends.
Anyone aged between 14 and 18 can be an Explorer Scout. Take the lead, work together, and embrace new experiences.

This everyday adventure is possible thanks to our adult volunteers, who support us in a wide range of roles from working directly with young people, to helping manage a Group, to being a charity Trustee.
We help volunteers get the most out of their experiences by providing opportunities for adventure, training, fun and friendship.
There is no requirement to have been involved in Scouting before joining. All that is required is a willingness to volunteer some time to support Scouting.
