Awards and badges

There are a variety of awards and badges which can be achieved by young people and adults in Scouts - both at a local and National level.

Scout Top Awards - The Duke of Edinburgh's Award, King's Scout Award, Scouts of the World Award and Explorer Belt

Kent Scouts offers The Duke of Edinburgh's Award alongside Scoutings other top awards including the King's Scout Award.

Scout Mate

The Scout Mate badge has been  designed to encourage members in the three younger sections to recruit a friend into Scouting.

Scout Mate Gold

This award is to reward the active recruitment of new adult volunteers.

Kent Invicta Challenge

Starting at Beavers through to Network the challenge increases in difficulty and is a prized badge for any Kent Scouter.

4 Week Challenge

A Kent Scouts badge designed to accompany the National 4 Week Challenge recruitment scheme.

Skills4Life

The Skills4Life badge has been developed by Kent County Council Public Protection to empower Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers in preparing for adult life.

Mental Health Matters

Mental Health Matters is a scheme in partnership with the NHS to raise awareness of Mental Health.

Community Champion Award

Do your 4-10½ year olds help in your local Community? Well Kent Scouts now has a badge to help show how amazing they are

'Good for Two' Open Evening Badge

This badge can help you to recruit the family members of children in your section.

Kent Scout County Awards

Kent Scouts runs an annual awards process to recognise exceptional projects and people across the County.

Nominations are welcome from young people, parents and leaders and cover 10 categories from Young Person of the Year to the Growth and Development Award.
