Costa Rica 2029

Building on the success of our partnership with Projects Abroad this will be a one off Special Global project. 

1st -15th April 2029 (SUBJECT TO FLIGHTS)

Available to those aged 16+ on 1st April 2029. Aiming primarily at Older Explorers & Network age but applications also welcome from all adults in Kent Scouts aged 18+

The aim is for the experience to include conservation work including monitoring sea turtles, monkeys and birds. Participating in reforestation and beach cleanups. PLUS experiencing the local culture, visits to the Irazu volcano and national park, La Fortuna rainforest and volcanic hot springs.

For all participants to give a formal post-project presentation to County & District

We are aiming for a team of 36. The 27 young people places (aged 16-24) and 9 senior leader places (aged 25+) will be allocated on a first come first served basis. A reserve list will then be maintained.

Cost per participant: £3,895* 

The fee will include flights, in-country project costs, branded clothing, meals, excursions, travel and accommodation. It will not include the cost of visas or innoculations.

*NOTE: £1,500 of the trip fee is currently budgeted for flights. If we get the flights for less a refund/discount will be arranged approximately one year before travel.
