07/30/2028 00:00 08/13/2028 00:00 Europe/London Slovenia 2028: Endless Explorer Adventure Awaits Adventure in the Julian Alps Camping by Lake Bohinj Cycling to Lake Bled Exploring Ljubljana with friends This is a once-in-a-generation opportunity for Explorers to build confidence, independence and memories that will last long after the rucksack is unpacked The expedition at a glance When Late July to August 2028, for around 12 days Provisional dates are 28 July to 9 August, with final dates confirmed once flights are available, around one year before departure Who 105 Explorer Scouts aged 14–18 in July/August 2028, supported by 15 Unit Leaders and a 3-person Contingent Management Team How it works The contingent will travel in three units of 40, each made up of 35 young people and 5 leaders, giving Explorers the excitement of a big international trip with the support of a smaller unit team Cost: £1,750, including transport, accommodation, activities, in-country costs, meals, insurance and three pre-camp training weekends What Explorers will experience The adventure begins with seven days camping at the beautiful Taborniški Center Bohinj, surrounded by mountains, forests and clear alpine water Explorers will take on a packed programme of challenge, teamwork and outdoor adventure, with activities expected to include: • rock climbing and hill walking in the Julian Alps • canyoning, swimming, canoeing and stand-up paddleboarding • a cycling day trip to the world-famous Lake Bled • time to live, and camp together as part of an international expedition team After camp, Explorers will have the chance to shape their own cultural adventure in Ljubljana, discovering the city, navigating as a team and experiencing Slovenia beyond the campsite Why it matters For young people, this is more than a holiday It is a chance to travel with purpose, try new activities, learn practical life skills and return home with greater confidence For parents and carers, the expedition includes structured leadership, training weekends before departure and a clear support network throughout the journey How to apply: Applications will be run on a first come first served registration of interest- you will then have 4 weeks from confirmation of your place to pay the initial deposit! When

105 Explorer Scouts aged 14–18 in July/August 2028, supported by 15 Unit Leaders and a 3-person Contingent Management Team.
